Veloura photographs four views of the body so your physician can mark what to watch, what to escalate, and what has changed since last time. The tool suggests. The person in the room decides.
What a mapping visit includes
Photographs are taken in the medical office — on the workstation or on a secure pad your physician opens for that visit. They cannot be uploaded on this public website, and they cannot be downloaded from it. They are not stored under your legal name. Veloura keeps imaging in its own private record so a map can be compared at the next visit.

Front, left, back, and right — the same positions each time so a mark lands on the same place next year.
Step 2
A first look by Veloura
The software may highlight areas for your physician to consider. That is decision support, not a diagnosis and not a reason to skip the examination.
Step 3
Physician marks
Your physician places a watch mark or an escalate mark on a spot. Watch means follow it. Escalate means it needs a closer plan — often a return, a biopsy conversation, or both.
Step 4
The next visit
Prior marks are drawn again on the new photographs so you and your physician can see what was stable, new, or changed.
What the marks mean
- Watch. A spot to follow over time — first seen, last seen, and whether it has stayed quiet.
- Escalate. A spot that needs a closer plan. Your physician records why. This is still a conversation, not a verdict from the software.
- History on the mark. When it was first tracked, notes, follow-up, and any treatment already discussed — so you do not retell the story from memory.
What Veloura will not do
- Diagnose melanoma or any other disease from a photograph
- Replace a full-skin examination or a biopsy when one is indicated
- Let you upload a photograph on this public website, or download a Veloura photograph from it
- Mix FACE appearance photographs into the mole map — those stay on a separate path
- Keep a public gallery of your body photographs
Who benefits from a map
Anyone can be mapped. It is especially useful if you have many moles, a personal or family history of skin cancer, or a spot your physician asked to watch. If a lesion is bleeding or changing this week, say so when you book — that is a medical visit first. See Skin Cancer.
